Heating & Air Conditioning, United Healthcare, Flamig Farms, Stadium Systems, Enfield Builders, Advanced Benefit Strategies - Pamela Hiatt, The Next Street, & Simsbury Football Coaching Staff
The visiting Warriors took advantage of several Trojan errors to come away with a 31-26 victory before a packed stadium at Holden Field. SHS turned the ball over four times (2 INT's and 2 fumbles) and gave up a return on a kickoff to allow Hall field position and points on the board. Still, the Trojans hung in there and were within five points but could not get off the field with five minutes left giving Hall the win.
Offensive Player of the Week - Mark Bedson
Mark ran for 165 yards and scored all four TD's as he set the pace for the offense.
Defensive Player of the Week - Patrick Shanley
Pat was everywhere and in on every play. He set the tone for the defense.
Special Forces Player of the Week - Mohammed Haroon
Mohammed was able to pin Hall back on every punt with a 38 yard average on his punts.
Week 2 - Southington @ Simsbury
The Blue Knights and Trojans waged a great battle on Friday night. The game was tight and a great effort by Simsbury came up a little short and the game ended with a loss to Southington. Too many penalties in critical situations took points of the board for the Trojans and points were hard to come by as the defenses played tough football all night.
Offensive Player of the Week - Cole Hermsen
Cole anchored a tremendous effort by the offensive line as it held up to the battering from Southington.
Defensive Player of the Game - Aiden Brown
Aiden's interception and play all night led the way for our defense. His performance provided the kick for the outstanding effort on that side of the ball.
Special Forces Player of the Game - Zach Gilbert
Zach had a dominate performance for this unit. His effort allowed our special forces to act as a game changer vs the Blue Knights.
